Toddler Pants

I have decided this year that all of the projects I do will be things that I already have on hand to make until I have used all that I have stored up. Quite the task, right?!  If you saw my piles of stuff that I bought thinking I would make it and it has sat there for 2+ years, you would do the same.

So my first project turned out to be some pants for my little boy. He is about a 4T-5T pant size. The pattern I used was Simplicity 2907. It makes both cargo shorts and these pants. (It also makes some girl things but I have disregarded those!) Making pants is easier than I thought it would be and I will be making lots out of my denim scraps. My son found out what I was making and he got giddy. If these pants are in the drawer he picks them out. I love it when he loves what I have made!

All Star Quilt

I am wishing that this fabric was not discontinued by Riley Blake. I love their All Star lines. I bought this a while back and thought I would get it done so that I would have it on hand just in case I knew of anyone having a baby. Well my sister found out that she was having a boy so it happened to be perfect for her. It is flannel fabric so it is super snuggly. I love the color combination. I even have more left over to complete some other blankets which are coming up here shortly. The finished size is about 70X63 give or take a little bit.
