So my very first combination scriptures looked like this:
Loved the tab closure but hated how big they were. So when I got married I bought a new set in the smallest size but the tab closure was too expensive for us so I just got the normal kind. I missed my tab closure. So I decided to make one only after 5 years, better late than never.
**I am still new to the picture taking thing especially if I don't know if what is in my head will come out the right way! So forgive the picture taking.
So I started out just eyeballing the length and width of the fabric to taste and then adding the seam allowance. I cut two strips.
I then cut batting to go inside. Next I placed the fabric right side together and placed the batting on top. Then sewed all the way around leaving both ends open.
While it was still open on both ends I hand sewed snaps on then sewed the end closed.
After sewing all the way around it I sewed stripes onto it to hold the batting down and give it some texture.
Then it was ready to be wrapped around the scriptures and enjoyed!
Perfect for holding papers in it and a pen now without them falling out or ruining my scriptures
